i.c.stars and OAI, Inc Strengthens Partnership at Open House!!
Today, i.c.stars visited, along with other local non profits with OAI, Inc. to learn more about the services this organization provides.
OAI's mission is to create a community environment in which all people who desire to do so can access education, training, work, and housing that will allow them to sustain and enjoy safe, secure and fulfilling lives.

I was invited to high tea. I had never been invited to high tea. I was in the grand company of Michael Maranda of CTCNet Chicago, Joseph Mouzon of Network for Good and the staff and students of i.c. stars in Chicago, IL. The students are recruited from Chicago’s inner city (thus the i.c. in i.c. stars). The high tea custom at i.c. stars is for each individual at the table to serve tea to the person next to her/him while introducing that person to everyone else at the table. Hearing the young people compliment their teammates with such clearly thought out details was nothing short of uplifting.
BDPA Partners with i.c.stars with Job Shadowing

Allstate's Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) group hosted its first Job Shadow Day recently for students from I. C. Stars (Inner City Computer Stars), some of whom have been hired by Allstate. I. C. Stars provides IT career programs and services that strengthen the leadership potential of inner city young adults.
