i.c.stars launched a volunteer project to define metrics for measuring the impact of our alumni in their communities. This system will help monitor our progress toward our vision of 1,000 community leaders in 10 years.
Community impact is defined by the quantity and quality of opportunities our alums make for others in their communities. Alums are using leadership and technology to make opportunities for others through:
- community technology centers
- after-school tutoring programs
- community technology advocacy
- summer camp programs
- community policing strategies
- board participation
- forming non-profit organizations
As the measurement project progresses, results and impact stories will be posted here.
