I was invited to high tea. I had never been invited to high tea. I was in the grand company of Michael Maranda of CTCNet Chicago, Joseph Mouzon of Network for Good and the staff and students of i.c. stars in Chicago, IL. The students are recruited from Chicago’s inner city (thus the i.c. in i.c. stars). The high tea custom at i.c. stars is for each individual at the table to serve tea to the person next to her/him while introducing that person to everyone else at the table. Hearing the young people compliment their teammates with such clearly thought out details was nothing short of uplifting.
